We CAN! Water Bath Basics
Find out how easy canning food can be! This class makes an in-season product. All the ingredients, necessary equipment and jars are provided by the cannery. We use safe canning recipes during a hands-on lesson. Each participant leaves with knowledge of the canning process and a jar of product. Learn how to can food in our kitchen so you can repeat the process at home! (3 hours) max class size: 10
We CAN! Pressure Cook Basics
Does it really matter whether I water bath or pressure cook those vegetables? Will the pressure cooker blow up in my kitchen?? How do I know it is safe to eat what I make? This class is for first time pressure cooks who want to overcome fear of the “bomb” in the kitchen. Join us in canning meat, soups and vegetables while learning principles of pressure cooking. We will provide all you need to learn how to pressure cook safely and send you home with a jar for your pantry. (4 hours) max class size: 10
We CAN! Jam
Bring your friends and fresh berries and learn how to make fresh jam and bread. The cannery will provide pectin and fresh bread ingredients; you bring your friends, berries and sugar. We will make jam and bread and enjoy taste testing with refreshments. (3 hours) max class size: 12

This class is determined by the needs of the client. Use one or more recipes for
putting up in season vegetables of the clients’ choice. Canning salsa is a favorite! Canning pickles is also very popular. Plan to schedule a week ahead to reserve time and space in the cannery for you and your friends. (3-5 hours) max class size: 10
WeCAN! Juice-Tomato, Vegetable, Fruit
Fresh fruit and vegetable juices taste like summer no matter when they are served.
How about trying canning tomatoes for juice, grapes, balckberries or peaches? They taste even better when they are home cooked without the extra non-essential ingredients many packaged juices include. Bring your garden fruit or vegetables to stock your shelves for a colder day. (3 hours) max class size: 12

Learn how to pressure cook the fruits or vegetables in your garden before they begin to rot on the vine. Safely store tomatoes, apples and beans for winter treats. Bring your vegetables or purchase ours to learn safe pressure cooking methods and put up jars of healthy treats for winter meals. (3 hours) max class size: 10
