Farm-to-Fork Buffet Lunch: A Day on the Farm

Join us for lunch and a tour of the farm where our crops are sustainably grown. Sit down on one of our picturesque patios or in our authentic restored barn to enjoy lunch designed for your group. Visit the Artisan Food Shop and Arts and Antiques Barns, where you will find unique Ohio-made gifts, including house-made gourmet foods and one-of-a-kind pieces of art.

We CAN! Water Bath Canning: Jam!

What better addition is there to morning toast than rich homemade jam? Taste your way through an array of Cannery-made fresh bread and artisan jams while enjoying a demonstration on the safety and science behind home water bath canning. Afterward, choose a tasty jam or jelly out of the dozens of varieties on our shelves to take with you.

Demonstration: (includes coupon for one jar of artisan jam or jelly):  1-1/2 hours

Hands-On (Participants take home one jar of jam or jelly created in class): 2- 1/2 hours

Fermentation for Health

Looking for an energy boost, a charge to your immune system, and healthier living without giving up taste? Fermentation is the answer! Come to the Cannery to create delicious gourmet cuisine. You will have the opportunity to sample an array of fermented foods, and learn to make your own in a hands-on experience with fresh ingredients. Each participant takes home their own vegetable fermentation start to care for and enjoy at home.

Dehydrating for Health and Good Taste

Have fun learning to dehydrate your food during a presentation designed to delight the senses as you touch, smell and taste your way through the process. Enjoy a hands-on presentation on how to turn fresh garden produce into an array of delicious, healthy snacks and quick meal ideas. Pay a visit to our Artisan Food Shop and Arts and Antiques Barns, where you will find unique Ohio-made gifts, including house-made gourmet foods and one-of-a-kind pieces of art.

Natural Soap Making

Poppy seed, oatmeal, cocoa and coffee! These are some of the natural ingredients we can use to make homemade soap that is good for us and good for the environment. Join us at Glass Rooster Cannery for a soap-making workshop and learn the ins and outs of making moisturizing hand soap, an exfoliating work soap, or a scented bath soap. Create your own custom bar of soap to take home along with the recipe and more great ideas.

Travel east 10 miles to St. Rt. 605. Go south 1 ½ miles; Glass Rooster Cannery is on your left. * Hotels at I-71 exit 131, easy access, coach parking.
