The Cannery is in full swing and offering regular classes. We create classes on demand. Each canning class includes a discussion on safe canning principles. Our goal is to empower our students to feel confident to repeat the process at home. Check out our Calendar for current class offerings or create your own with friends.
Our first canning class, “We CAN! Water Bath Basics” is very popular. The class focuses on waterbath canning with a discussion of pressure canning and safety principles. We can an in-season product and you take home a jar of finished product. All supplies are provided, tasting is encouraged. Cost: $45.00
For the more advanced canner, we offer “We CAN! Pressure Can”. This class teaches the principles of safely canning low-acid foods with a hands-on lesson. As always, tasting is encouraged, and each participant takes home a jar of product. Cost: $55.00
Cooking Classes and Events are available upon request for groups of six or more. How about “Cooking with Your Pressure Canner”, “Appetizers for Dinner”, “Homemade Pasta and Sauce”, “Horseradish” or “Gluten-free Cooking”? Classes are designed to meet the interests of the participants. Cost: $55.00

This place is awesome! Very quaint but with a modern, spotless kitchen. My son and I stopped out of curiosity, thinking it was a place to buy canned goods and the normal touristy things. We were pleasantly surprised. It is unique and very much needed in these times of doing it yourself.
I’ve canned for many years. My mother taught me. But there are things I don’t know how to do such as making jam and using the pressure cooker. I plan on taking classes for these. I also work in our high school kitchen so I know what a good kitchen should look like.
Very impressed, so glad we stopped.
And the owners are very nice people!!!
